A woman’s attention to self-care can drastically decline during the postpartum period if she does not have the proper support, quality nutrition, and an appropriate amount of rest. We founded MaMeal, a nourishing meal subscription service dedicated exclusively for new moms, in order to raise awareness for her needs during this time. Providing new mothers with soups, teas, and super food ingredients can do wonders to facilitate the recovery period following childbirth.

We recommend that new moms look for meals that are rich in iron, protein, fatty acids, vitamin, and antioxidants, all of which speed up the healing process. For example, we serve Ginseng Chicken Soup at MaMeal as the dish is rich in protein, iron, and includes ginseng, which has many healing properties. Ginseng boosts the immune system, stimulates physical and mental activity among people who are weak and tired, lowers blood sugar and cholesterol levels, and reduce stress.

According to The Institute of Medicine, moms who have just given birth require a greater intake of fluids, but we all know it can be difficult to solely drink water. Exploring teas is a great alternative! Additionally, the herbs and spices found in many teas can help boost milk production, an added advantage for nursing mothers. That’s why we offer a selection of herbal teas in our Nursing plan.

We understand that finding time to bond with your baby while taking care of your needs can be challenging. From day one, our goal has been to create and serve flavorful food that is fun to eat and beneficial for a new mom, all while taking one thing off her to-do list so she can focus on her recovery. Visit us at to learn more about our services and our dedication to building awareness for the support needed in the postpartum period.
